Tom Homan, President Trump’s "Border Czar," issued a stern warning to sanctuary states resisting federal immigration policies. The former ICE

acting director made it clear: cooperate or face intensified enforcement. “Change your sanctuary status, or we’ll send teams to do our job,” he told New York officials recently, promising to flood non-compliant areas with

ICE agents. Homan has targeted states like New York and Massachusetts, which limit cooperation with ICE, accusing them of shielding criminals. He’s threatened to triple resources in resistant areas

and warned of federal charges under anti-harboring laws.

He also hinted at cutting federal funds, a move he says will “devastate” local budgets.

This aligns with Trump’s deportation agenda, prioritizing over 1 million immigrants with removal orders. Homan plans worksite raids and a migrant registry, vowing to make communities safer.

Critics, including Denver Mayor

Mike Johnston and Amnesty International, decry his tactics as xenophobic, citing past controversies like family separations.

Despite pushback, Homan remains resolute. “We’re coming,” he declared, setting up a clash between federal power and sanctuary cities, as legal and public battles loom.
