From Airport Drama to Hitler Parallels – Is He Just Chasing Clout?
In the ever-spinning world of conservative media fireworks, Tucker Carlson – or as I like to call him, "Shmucker" Carlson for reasons that need no elaboration – has once again thrust himself into the spotlight. This time, he's claiming he was detained in Israel, turning a routine airport encounter into a tale of international intrigue.
Unfortunately, I'm biting the bait by writing this article, but let's dissect this saga and expose it for what it is: a desperate grab for relevance from a man who'd interview a dictator to stay filthy rich. Picture this: The former Fox News host jets into Tel Aviv for a quick sit-down with Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump's ambassador to Israel. The interview stems from an online spat where Carlson accused Huckabee of failing to protect Christians in the country. Sounds juicy, right? But according to Carlson, things went south fast.
In an exclusive to the Daily Mail (www.DailyMail.com) , he revealed that Israeli officials snatched his passport and dragged his executive producer into an interrogation room shortly after the chat."Men who identified themselves as airport security took our passports, hauled our executive producer into a side room and then demanded to know what we spoke to Ambassador Huckabee about," Carlson told the outlet. "It was bizarre. We’re now out of the country."
He even posted a cheeky photo on X (formerly Twitter) with his business partner Neil Patel in front of Ben Gurion Airport, captioning it "Greetings from Israel." Oh, poor Shmucker – my heart bleeds for him. Not.Critics piled on, mocking Carlson for barely leaving the airport during his brief visit. But let's be real: This isn't some heroic stand against oppression. It's classic Carlson – stoking anti-Israel propaganda to villainize a nation that's somehow committing "genocide" while supplying Gaza with water and electricity.
Sound familiar? It's straight out of Adolf Hitler's playbook in the 1930s, blaming Jews for Germany's woes. Mein Kampf was a bestseller for a reason: Scapegoating and lies sell. Carlson's taking a page from that toxic tome, and it works. Just like his cozy chat with Putin in Russia, he stands for nothing except maintaining his lavish lifestyle and staying relevant.
He'll go to any lengths for attention, even if it means fanning flames that endanger lives.
Now, contrast this with my own airport tale. Once, flying from Philadelphia to North Carolina, I got pulled into a back room for questioning – complete with a full cavity search. Why? Maybe because I'd torched Barack Hussein Obama in an article for funneling $6 million to the Muslim Brotherhood. Whatever the trigger, I cooperated happily. I respect the tough job airport security does to keep us safe. Shmucker? I once wrote an article criticizing the Radical Islamic Terrorists of Gaza and someone tried to set my mailbox on fire. He whines about routine questions by Israel airport security.
Many in Israel didn't want him there in the first place. He's accused the country of genocide and called Prime Minister Netanyahu a war criminal. Why let him in? It could stir up trouble, putting citizens at risk. If Israel's so evil in his eyes, why benefit from their military protection – the same forces he blasts for "war crimes"? I wouldn't have let him on the flight. Period.
But hold on – a US Embassy spokesperson in Israel pushed back hard, denying any detention. "He received the same passport control questions that countless visitors to Israel, including Ambassador Huckabee and other diplomats, receive as part of normal entrance and exit from Israel," they said. "It is not accurate that Israel only was going to let Tucker into the country for the interview. The only engagement the Embassy had with Israel about his visit was to coordinate his private plane landing as part of facilitating a seamless visit. It was Tucker who chose to only come into the country for a few hours and depart. And Tucker received the same positive treatment of any visitors to Israel."
This "detention" reeks of exaggeration. The backstory? Carlson blasted Huckabee on his YouTube show last week for not safeguarding Christians. Huckabee, a three-decade acquaintance and ex-Fox colleague, fired back on X: "Instead of talking about me, why don’t you come talk to me?" Carlson jumped at it, and the interview happened.
But with Israel's popularity tanking among young GOP voters and Trump supporters, this feels like a calculated move by the Trump camp to glue the conservative coalition together before midterms – preventing Israel debates from fracturing the base.
In the end, Shmucker's saga is a reminder: Attention-seekers like him thrive on controversy. But let's not fall for it. Israel's defending itself against terrorists, not committing atrocities. If Carlson's so concerned, maybe check under that cheap rug on his head for hidden grenades – metaphorically speaking, of course. After all, his rhetoric is explosive enough.
I conclude by saying. Carlson is a coward. He coordinated the interview to be at the airport and not enter Israel. He was afraid of having to face the music. He can hidei behind his media machine and not have to face the detractors. He is afraid that he would see Israeli Citizens protesting him. He is an embarassment for anyone who is in the media business.
The only reason that Carlson can fly into Israel on his private plane is because suckers like me give him the attention that he seeks. I was torn whether to write this article because I am doing what he wants on one hand. But then on the other hand I feel its needed to express the views that are accurate not sensationalized.
