Across the United States, a disturbing wave of vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles has swept through communities, leaving owners reeling and sparking outrage. What began as isolated incidents of smashed windows and keyed paint has escalated into something far more sinister; arson, coordinated destruction, and blatant attacks on private property. This isn’t just vandalism anymore, it is domestic terrorism, plain and simple.

These acts go beyond petty crime. Videos circulating online show masked individuals torching Tesla cars in driveways, slashing tires in parking lots, and spray-painting hateful messages on the sleek electric vehicles. The damage isn’t random, it’s deliberate, targeted, and fueled by a clear disdain for Elon Musk and what the brand represents. Law enforcement agencies in multiple States have reported a spike in these incidents, with some describing them as part of an organized effort. The financial toll is staggering, but the emotional impact on victims, many of whom saved for years to afford their cars, is immeasurable.

Let’s call this what it is: domestic terrorism. Setting fire to someone’s property, endangering lives, and instilling fear in entire neighborhoods isn’t a prank or a protest, it’s a violent crime with real consequences. These anti-American thugs aren’t just attacking cars, they are attacking the values of innovation, freedom, and personal success that Tesla embodies. And they’re betting on a slap on the wrist to keep their spree going. These acts of terrorism have been premeditated and planned out.

That is why the punishment needs to match the crime. A mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison should be the punishment for anyone caught committing these acts. The violence, the destruction, and the high likelihood of reoffending demand it. Studies show that lenient sentencing for property crimes - especially those involving arson or coordinated attacks - often leads recidivism. Without strict consequences, these domestic terrorists will only grow bolder, and the vandalism spree will spread like wildfire.

Tesla owners aren’t the only ones at risk. If this behavior goes unchecked, what’s next? Your car? Your home? The message is clear: let these criminals off easy, and chaos wins. Lawmakers and judges need to wake up and treat this for what it is; a violent assault on private property and public safety. Fifteen years isn’t too harsh, it’s an appropriate consequence.

The time for soft excuses is over. These aren’t “misguided youths” or “activists with a cause.” They’re cowards hiding behind masks, torching dreams, and laughing at the system. Lock them up, throw away the key, and send a message that America won’t tolerate this garbage anymore!.
