The American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) is shamefully entangled with the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas, a vile connection that undermines American values and security. This despicable affiliation, now under Senate scrutiny, reveals AMP’s complicity in advancing the agenda of a bloodthirsty organization notorious for its reign of terror.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), led by Chair Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), has launched an investigation into American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) for its alleged ties to Hamas-linked groups and its influence on campus unrest via Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). Announced during a Thursday hearing on campus antisemitism, the probe targets AMP’s connections to at least nine individuals reportedly linked to Hamas and its role in founding SJP, a major pro-Palestinian student network.

Cassidy raised concerns about AMP’s support for SJP, which has over 350 chapters and has led anti-Israel protests since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

These demonstrations have sparked accusations of antisemitism and safety threats to Jewish students. The investigation also examines AMP’s historical links to defunct groups like the Holy Land Foundation and Islamic Association for Palestine, both tied to Hamas support. Key figures, including AMP Chairman Hatem Bazian and Executive Director Osama Abuirshaid, face scrutiny over alleged Hamas connections.

The probe follows a Virginia court order in July 2024 compelling AMP to disclose records in a separate Hamas funding case. Cassidy has requested financial and communication records from AMP and universities by April 9, 2025, while seeking DOJ and FBI input. Critics call AMP and SJP fronts for extremism, while supporters decry the investigation as an attack on free speech. The outcome could reshape AMP’s operations and SJP’s campus presence amid ongoing debates over foreign influence and student safety.
