The recent revelations concerning USAID and the State Department’s abject failure to monitor NGOs, ensuring they weren’t funneling American taxpayer dollars to the Taliban, are nothing short of a national disgrace. This isn’t just incompetence - it’s a betrayal of every hardworking American who trusts their government to wield their money responsibly.

The Inspector General’s report lays bare a system so broken, so devoid of any accountability, that it’s practically an open invitation for corruption and misconduct to flourish. NGOs, cloaked as altruistic

do-gooders, refused American officials access to their operations and failed to report waste, fraud, or

Taliban interference. And what did USAID and State do? They shrugged, wrote the checks, and let billions vanish into a black hole of unverified projects in one of the most volatile regions on Earth.

This isn’t mere oversight; it’s willful negligence bordering on complicity. The Taliban, our sworn enemy, responsible for countless American lives lost, may well have been sipping from the same trough of funds meant to aid Afghan civilians.

Meanwhile, the bureaucrats

at USAID and State hid behind flimsy contracts that didn’t even mandate basic transparency, like site visits or mandatory reporting of diversion. It’s as if they

wanted to be blind to the consequences. The American people deserve better than an aid apparatus that operates like a slush fund for warlords and unaccountable NGOs, all while our own borders crumble and our cities struggle.

Enough is enough. USAID’s track record here is a damning indictment; proof that it’s not just inefficient, but a liability to our national security and moral standing. It’s time to dismantle this bloated, unaccountable beast and redirect those resources to priorities that actually serve Americans, not our enemies. Anything less is a slap in the face to taxpayers and a gift to those who wish us harm.
